How to choose a good designed Backplate Buoyancy System ?
Reply Quote

Hi Divers,

I have been diving with my Oceanic Chute 1 BCD for the pass 10 years and recently the back rubber frame which hold the jacket and wing has broke into pieces.

I am planing to get a Backplate Buoyancy System which I can used it for my recreational dive and upgradeable to technical diving.  I would prefer which have Integrated weight system, a small pocket, pull dump exhaust valve, shoulders quick-release buckles, confortable and fitting.

Can I install my Oceanic Air XS 2 Inflator to the Backplate Buoyancy System?

I am 5'6" tall 58 Kgs. (Size S)  Air Cell's Lift Capacity from 25 - 40 lbs.

My budget is S$500 - S$800.  Please advise and recommend a few good Manufacturers and Models for me to choose from.  Thanks.

Happy Diving.
