Manta's and stuff
Reply Quote

Hi all,

I've done 3 separate dives at Hin Daeng/Hin Muang and never seen a single Manta or Eagle ray - in all cases around Feb/March, in different years. I have however seen a Manta at the Similian islands...

This coming Feb, I'll be staying on Ko Racha - anyone have any experiences of diving Ko Racha Yai or Noi ? For that matter, anyone got any information generally on Ko Racha ? Any comments most welcome

Unlucky not to have seen a Manta at Hin Daeng and Hin Muang...

Racha Noi is the better spot for bigger fish. Racha Yai is beginners diving, with an easy reef and gentle currents.

I have seen Mantas at Racha Noi, also an eagle ray (once), leopard sharks, turtles, big school of barracuda.

Plenty of day trips to Racha Noi from Phuket.
