Hey Asian Diver divers, Asian Diver keeps saying that they will do an article on East Timor but we have yet to see it.  So, we decideed to take matters into our own hands and tell you that there is phenomenal diving out here in Timor-Leste. Believe it or not, there are more than 25 shore dive sites within a 45 minute drive from your hotel in the capital, Dili.  Yeah, no long trips on boats dealing with large swells to get to the sites.  The north coast is also very calm and currents are not something to worry about, in general.  After diving for a week off of Bunaken island in North Sulawesi, it can safely be said that the reefs are in as good if not better condition than those around Manado. Editor Thanks Editor!  For some reason the site no longer allows me to log in as TimorDiver.  I did not mean to offend anyone with my post.  It was only meant as a friendly reminder. In email correspondence with David Espinosa in February of this year when I commented on how a story regarding the Banda Sea was not complete without mentioning East Timor, David assured me that a story was in preparation and that it would be out before December.  He explained that he was short on finding quality images for the story.  We put him in contact with a profesisonal photographer who has taken many beautiful photos of underwater Timor.  Since then I have been advertising the fact that Asian Diver will have a story on East Timor and eagerly waiting.  We hope it is soon in the coming.
