I've seen them, even saw one get washed up on the beach at the East Coast twice last year but I don't think they're quite as odd looking as the crocodile snake eels I found last year in the Philippines (http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5ce33b3127cce94c093a3cfcd00000016109EctXLJm14)
